The days are getting longer, and while we may have been hit by some surprise snow, consistent warm weather is on the way to the Northwoods! And here at Northland Lodge, that means one thing: it's time to shake off the winter slumber and get ready for another amazing summer season! While our guests are dreaming of warm days on Lake Winnebigoshish, our team is busy behind the scenes, tackling a to-do list that would make your head spin. From cabins to canoes, kitchens to campfires, every corner of the resort is getting dusted off for the upcoming season. What does that entail, you may ask? Let us share a glimpse of what goes into our spring pre-season preparations to give you, our loyal guests, the best experience in the north!
Cabin Fever (the Good Kind!) Our cabins are the heart of Northland Lodge, and they deserve some serious TLC after a long winter. We're talking a deep clean from top to bottom: dusting, scrubbing, polishing, and making sure everything is sparkling clean and ready for our guests. Windows are thrown open to let in the crisp spring air, and we add those little touches that make each cabin feel like a home away from home. Outdoor Oasis in the Making Spring is also when we turn our attention to the great outdoors. In the coming weeks, our grounds crew will be hard at work, raking leaves, trimming bushes, and getting the lawn into shape. Picnic tables and fire pits are spruced up, ready for those memorable evenings under the stars. And of course, our beloved beach gets a thorough cleaning, ensuring the sand is pristine for sunbathers and sandcastle builders. Adventure Awaits: Gearing Up for Fun No Northwoods vacation is complete without some adventure, and we make sure our equipment is ready for action. Canoes and kayaks are inspected and repaired, life jackets are checked for wear and tear, and fishing boats are prepped for a summer of reeling in the big ones. We even make sure the horseshoe pits are in tip-top shape for some friendly competition. Giving the Lodge some TLC The lodge is the hub of activities at Northland Lodge. At 106 years old, we NEED to give it the love it deserves. We will be spending hours getting it cleaned up, stocked with your favorite wines and beers. Making sure our arcade games are in working order for the kiddos to socialize over, and getting our pool ready for those games of Marco Polo that are sure to take place once the families start to arrive. Community Connections: Reaching Out Spring is also a time for us to reconnect with our community. We're busy reaching out to local businesses, planning events, and making sure our guests have access to the best the area has to offer. Whether it's a guided fishing trip, a hike through the woods, or a visit to a nearby attraction, we want to help our guests create unforgettable memories. More Than Just a Job: A Labor of Love While the work is demanding, there's a sense of excitement and anticipation that fills the air. Our team takes pride in preparing Northland Lodge for another season of welcoming guests and sharing the beauty of the Northwoods. It's more than just a job; it's a labor of love for this special place. So, as the snow melts and the birds begin to sing, remember that we're hard at work behind the scenes, getting everything ready for your arrival. We can't wait to welcome you back to Northland Lodge for another summer of relaxation, adventure, and unforgettable memories. Comments are closed.
